The line-up for the Women's Dubai PSA World Series Finals has been confirmed after Egyptian Nour El Sherbini sealed the last title of the season, the prestigious Allam British Open, to move ahead of England's Laura Massaro and top the 2015/16 Road To Dubai Standings.
El Sherbini has been in supreme form throughout the season, adding the British Open title to the Tournament of Champions crown she won in January to go along with two runner-up finishes at the Qatar Classic and Windy City Open to ensure she pips Massaro, who has also claimed two titles – the U.S. Open and Qatar Classic – to top spot.
Eight-time World Champion and two-time World Series Finals winner Nicol David occupies third place in the standings while 18-year-old World Junior Champion Nouran Gohar confirmed her place amongst the top eight for the first time after reaching the British Open final.
Top ranked French player Camille Serme, former World No.1 Raneem El Welily and former World Championship runner-up Omneya Abdel Kawy also find themselves in the eight while the final berth is occupied by top ranked American player Amanda Sobhy – who will become the first US woman to compete at the World Series Finals.
The Dubai PSA World Series Finals takes place in Dubai from May 24-28 when only the top eight players on the Road To Dubai Standings will compete for the lucrative title. The eight players will come together in two groups of four, with players playing a round-robin best-of-three series for a place in the knockout semi-finals and beyond.
