England’s Alison Waters has withdrawn from the upcoming Windy City Open presented by the Walter Family due to an ankle injury.
The World No.14 sustained the injury during the British Nationals two weeks ago and was forced to pull out of her quarter-final fixture with Jasmine Hutton in Nottingham.
Waters’ injury sees Belgium’s Nele Gilis move up to the No.16 seeded position, and she now receives a bye into round two. France’s Coline Aumard takes Gilis’s place in the draw and will play Egyptian wildcard Hana Moataz.
Lee Ka Yi has been added to the draw and will play two-time World Junior Champion Rowan Elaraby in round one.
The 2020 Windy City Open presented by the Walter Family will be held in the University Club of Chicago’s Cathedral Hall between February 27 – March 4. Tickets are available for purchase at windycityopen.com
Fixtures from the glass court at the University Club of Chicago will be streamed live on SQUASHTV (rest of world), Eurosport Player (Europe only) and the official Facebook page of the PSA World Tour (excluding Europe and Japan).
