Yesterday’s action served up some thrilling matches with France’s Camille Serme in particular delighting the crowd as she came from 2-1 down against Egypt’s World No.10 Hania El Hammamy.

The Frenchwoman will once again be in action today as she takes on reigning World Champion Nour El Sherbini in a repeat of their Tournament of Champions final from earlier this year.

World No.1 and three-time champion Raneem El Welily kicks off the day’s play as she faces home hope Olivia Blatchford Clyne in the first match of the day at 12:00 local time (GMT-6). While USA No.1 Amanda Sobhy will come up against U.S. Open champion Nouran Gohar as she looks to reach the semi-final of a PSA Platinum event for the first time this season.

The first men’s match up of the day will see World No.2 Ali Farag pitted against Peru’s World No.6 Diego Elias in another tantalising match up in Chicago. The two players have faced each other 11 times previously, with Elias not claiming a win over the Egyptian since 2017.

Spain’s Borja Golan and Egypt’s Rowan Elaraby remain the only two unseeded players left in the draw with the experienced Spaniard taking on World Champion Tarek Momen and Elaraby coming up against English No.1 Sarah-Jane Perry for a place in the last four.

The other two men’s matches will see former World No.1 Karim Abdel Gawad take on Germany’s Simon Rösner and New Zealand’s World No.5 Paul Coll come up against defending champion and World No.1 Mohamed ElShorbagy in the last match of the day.
