The Expression Networks Nolan and Liam’s Tournament will get underway between September 10-13 in Prague, Czech Republic, as the first PSA Tour event as the six-month suspension of professional squash due to the global COVID-19 pandemic comes to an end.
The PSA Challenger men’s event will see Germany’s World No.29 Raphael Kandra headline the draw with former World No.1 and World Champion Gregory Gaultier also featuring in the 16-man draw.
Top seed Kandra will face Czech Republic’s Viktor Byrtus in round one, with his side of the draw featuring the likes of Colombia’s World No.74 Juan Camilo Vargas, Austria’s World No.99 Aqeel Rehman and Czech Republic’s World No.101 Martin Svec.
At the opposite end of the draw sits World No.70 Daniel Mekbib as the No.2 seed and he will take on compatriot and World No.306 Marek Panacek on the opening day of action.
Gaultier is the No.4 seed at the event and will face Germany’s World No.369 Tobias Weggen in round one. It will be the Frenchman’s third tournament of the season, following his PSA comeback at the 2020 J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions in January after a serious injury lay-off.
The wildcard place is awarded to Germany’s World No.424 Heiko Schwarzer and he will open his tournament in Prague against fellow countryman Yannik Omlor.
The tournament will follow COVID-19 protocols to ensure the health and safety of all players and on-site staff and have social distancing in place.
