The last event of the week to take place on the Challenger Tour comes from Auckland, New Zealand, with the Liquorland Howick Open beginning on Friday 16 July.
The Challenger 5 and 3 level draws are restricted to only those currently living in Australia and New Zealand, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Just a single Australian is in the tournament, with World No.137 Joseph White being the No.2 seed in the men’s event. He will be behind only top seed Lwamba Chileshe in the draw, while younger brother Temwa, and Joel Arscott, will be the other challengers for the title.
Abbie Palmer will be the top seed in the women’s draw, with juniors Ella Lash, Katie Templeton, Sophie Hodges and Dora Galloway also aiming for glory. Former World No.35 Amanda Landers-Murphy is also in the tournament as a wildcard.
