Challenger Tour Weekly Preview: Three Events On Three Continents

The Challenger Tour holds three events on three continents over the coming week, with tournaments taking place in Canada, India and Russia.

All three tournaments are being run with domestic entry restrictions due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Squash Quebec Open
The first tournament of the week begins on Sunday 29 August at Club Atwater in Montreal, with the Squash Quebec Open taking place across the next five days.

The Challenger 5 level men’s event is for only those based in Canada, with World No.82 Shawn DeLierre the top seed. Michael McCue and David Baillargeon, both members of the world’s top 100, will also be in action.

Moscow Squash Tour III
For the third time in a short period, the Challenger Tour goes back to Russia, with the Moscow Squash Tour III being held at Squash Club Moscow from Saturday 4 to Sunday 5 September.

The Challenger 3 level event is for those currently living in Russia, with World No.161 Vladislav Titov and Ukrainian No.1 Valeriy Fedoruk seeded to meet in the final once again.

HCL SRFI Indian Tour – Noida
Following last week’s event in Chennai, the HCL SRFI Indian Tour moves to Noida this weekend, with the Challenger 5 & 10 level tournaments beginning on Saturday 4 September.

Sunayna Kuruvilla will once again be the top seed for the women’s Challenger 10 event, with last week’s winner Tanvi Khanna as the No.2 seed. Abhishek Agarwal and Aadit Zaveri will be the top seeds in the men’s Challenger 5 event.
