India's Saurav Ghosal and Malaysia's Aifa Azman have been named the respective men’s and women’s PSA World Tour Player of the Month for November.
Ghosal, 35, playing in his first Malaysian Open since 2013, captured the PSA World Tour Bronze title – in the process winning his first PSA event in three years – with a thrilling 3-0 win over Colombian top seed Miguel Rodriguez.
With that win, the No.2 seed completed the rare feat of taking the tournament without dropping a single game, having seen off Egypt's Mazen Gamal and French duo Lucas Serme and Victor Crouin in immaculate fashion.
Aifa Azman's shock win rocketed her up the PSA World Rankings.
Aifa Azman went into the Malaysian open as an underdog, with Egyptian duo Salma Hany and Nadine Shahin favourites to take the title.
There were signs, however, that the 19-year-old wildcard was building towards something special when she downed Egypt's Mayar Hany in the first round and then shocked Egyptian No.3 seed Yathreb Adel in the second.
The Malaysian continued to dazzle the home crowd on her run to the final, with Egypt's Hana Ramadan and Canadian No.5 seed Danielle Letourneau falling to the World No.69.
Azman capped a fairytale run in the final, producing a sublime performance to claim her first ever PSA Bronze title, stunning Hany 3-0.
Besides the title, Azman's incredible run was rewarded with a 33-place jump in the PSA World Rankings, and is now a career-best World No.36.
