Hong Kong's Joey Chan has made great strides on the Tour ever since she first joined back in 2003.
Her consistent performances at events meant that she broke the world's top 100 in 2006 and she claimed creditable semi-final finishes at the NSC Tour 12 No2 and the Taiwan Open the following year.
Her first Tour title came at the Indian Challenger No.4 in 2010 and she went on to pick up the China Open and the Chairman's Cup in September of that year.
She made it into the top 20 in the world in 2011 when she bested Aisling Blake in the final of the Macau Open to lift the crown and she toppled the number one seed Rachael Grinham to take home the Challenge Cup title a year later.
Various runner-up finishes followed for Chan over the next few years before she ended her 2014/15 season in style by lifting the NZ International Classic in June 2015 with a win over Misaki Kobayashi in the showpiece finale.
Chan joined fellow Hong Kong native Annie Au in the world’s top 20 in August 2016. She went on to reach the quarter finals of the Macau Open, and the Oracle NetSuite Open in the latter part of 2016, before then also making the last eight of the Ciudad de Floridablanca, Hong Kong International and Macau Open once more in 2017.
She continued her relative success in the territory, making the final four in 2018, two weeks after finishing runner-up at the Salt Lake City Open. Chan also made the quarter finals of the Hong Kong Open towards the end of the year. The Hongkonger then made it to the quarter finals of the Macau Open in 2019.
